Ski touring week in the still unknown areas of the Balkans in Kosovo and Albania. Far from the slopes and the hustle and bustle, we find perfect conditions here in remote regions with challenging peaks and lonely descents. In a small group, we climb peaks in Kosovo and Albania from over 2,500 m from a few locations and enjoy descents through untouched landscapes. We start some of the tours directly from our accommodation.
Package program
Day 1
Arrival in Kosovo at Pristina. From the airport we drive together to Prevalla about 2h drive, where we will spend the next 3 nights. Prevalla is located in the south of Kosovo at around 1,500 m on a pass at the foot of the Sharr Mountains. At dinner together we discuss the coming days.
Check in at the Krojet Hotel and dinner.
Day 2
First day ski touring touring with a 2,500 m summit.
The almost 80 km long Sharr mountain range between Kosovo and North Macedonia is home to 30 peaks over 2,500 m. The goal of our first day of touring is the Guri i Zi (2,526 m), the Piribreg (2,524 m) or a combination of both mountains.
After driving 20km for about 45mins to the former Olympic ski resort Brezovica, we start at 1,700 or 2,200 m, depending on the function of the lifts. Hiking time approximately 4h for a 850m ascent.
We start our varied descent from the ridge, which is also the national border. Starting from a steep couloir, we drive over wide slopes in wide sweeps towards the valley.
Drive back to the hotel.

We are out and about in a real wilderness and away from everything that defines ski tourism. In an area that is home to wolves, bears and other animals, we find untouched slopes and long descents with very good snow quality due to the prevailing microclimate. We enjoy the views of the surrounding glacial lakes before we leave. Drive back to the hotel around 50mins
