A Catski Freeride adventure in South Macedonia
Freeride the Baba mountain in the heart of the Pelister National Park

This snow-cat adventure will give you the perfect adventure for backcountry skiing and snowboarding, on the Baba mountain, in the Pelister National Park . The specially designed snowcat has a passenger cabin, it will take you to the mountain peak called Pelister, at 2610m, from where you can choose your path down through the deep snow. With 4 to 6 runs or more a day and an average of a 1000m vertical per run, you get in plenty of those perfect turns.
Arrival – day 1
Flight to Skopje airport. We will await you on a flight that arrives between 10am and 1pm.
We will meet with you at your exit of the airport and transfer you to your hotel by Taxi or private shuttle, lasts around 3h.
You arrive at the hotel around 5pm, settle in. We meet at 6.30pm, at the bar for a welcome drink.
7.30pm Evening meal.
Sweet dreams
Your daily program – Day 2 to 7
- 7-8am Breakfast
- 8-8.30am Transfer with a van to the start point of the Pistenbully (7 km from the hotel)
- 8.30am Loading the equipment, safety briefing introduction and security check
- 9am Hit the mountain, 1 hour drive in the snow cat to the peak of the mountain through the Pelister National Park , from Lovecka mountain hut to the Pelister peak.
- 10am Skiing and snowboarding from the top of the Mountain, where you have several lines down on the north side of the mountain, from 2- 4 km lengths. This depends on the snow conditions and the physical ability of participants. You can usually get in 4 to 6 runs per day or more.
- 12am or 1pm Lunch brake at the Shiroka mountain lodge.
- After lunch a couple more runs, the last run can be on the south side of the mountain that offers an extreme run.
4.30pm Transfer back to the hotel.
7pm Diner

This small family-run hotel offers a 4 star quality service, it is quietly situated at 900m above sea level in a forest, at the foot of Pelister National Park one of the oldest parks in the Balkans.
The hotel is 4 km from the town of Bitola and 25 km from the Greek border. Pelister’s park rademarks are clear spring water and rivers where you can see Pelister and Pelagonia trout, waterfalls and glacial mountain lakes. The fantastic mountain scenery and pure air here provide a picturesque backdrop for a relaxing holiday designed especially to suit your needs.
Our restaurant offers a pleasant ambiance with outstanding hospitality, combined with great food and a choice of drinks that will inspire you. Here you will find a warm atmosphere, enjoy your meal by a nice warm crackling fire.

Safety tips / Health
This is a Freeride package, you need to be able to ski powder and unprepared snow comfortably. A good physical health is needed.
No need to worry about Altitude sickness, you have plenty of time to adapt and we will make sure to not move up to fast on your first riding day.

Avalanche Risks and safety
Avalanche danger in mountains is always present.
WSA has years of experience at recognizing areas and snow conditions that are a high avalanche hazard, to avoid them.
We will make sure on the first day that everyone has the adequate gear and knows how to use it. We will provide you with a tutorial on this topic. Thought you must accept all the risks that come with skiing remote and uncontrolled areas.
The correct mountain attitude is of essence.
