Prokletije mountain range is one of the biggest and wildest mountain range at Balkan Peninsula shared between 3 countries: Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo. It is also National park since 2009.
Kolašin is small town at 900 m.of elevation settled at Central North of Montenegro. Mountains around Kolašin offers many ski tours possibilities in different mountain regions like Sinjajevina, Žijevo, Bjelasica and Komovi.
Package program
Day 1 – Arrival day
Meeting point is at Podgorica airport, we will welcome you between 1pm and 3pm for your transfer to Plav, a small city on the Eastern part of Montenegro below mount Prokletije on the border with Albania. Around a 3h drive.
Accommodation is in a 3* family run hotel close to Plav lake. Dinner in the restaurant at the hotel/guesthouse.
Day 2
After breakfast, tranfer by 4×4 to the Babino polje valley, 15 km. There are several peaks to choose from here, ranging from 2300 – 2500 m. like Pasji vrh, Tromeđa, Maja Rops, Bandera.. Average hike/descent is around 900-1000 m. of elevation. Day transfers 45 mins.
Day 3
Not far from small town Plav (10 km) there is village Gusinje. Close to Gusinje there are two of the most beautiful valleys in Montenegro, the Grbaja and Ropojana.
This part of Prokletije has a rather different character than Babino Polje valley. Mountains here are more look like somewhere in the Alps: deep valleys, sharp rocky peaks but nevertheless there are few options for easy and safe ski touring. Average hike/descent from 900-1200 m. Day transfers 30-45 min.
Day 4
Another tour in Prokletije region or in case of bad conditions transfer towards Kolašin and on the way, ski tour in the mountains of Bjelasica or Komovi.
Accommodation in a small and cosy 3*hotel Brile with an adorable lady owner/cook.
Kolašin is small town at 900 m.of elevation settled at Central North of Montenegro.
Transfer from Plav to Kolašin 2h.
Day 5
Mountains around Kolašin offer many ski touring possibilities in different mountain regions like Sinjajevina, Žijevo, Bjelasica and Komovi. The one we are going to choose depends of the current weather
and snow conditions. Average hike/descent from 800-1000 m. This evening we will go to have a dinner in the village Lipovo, close to Kolašin. We will visit the Dulovic family where you will see how they live and work and taste their home made products.Transfer 30-60 min.
Day 6
Hopefully with good snow conditions, after early breakfast we can transfer to visit another mountain ous region on the northwest of Montenegro – the famous Durmitor National park and ski some of the
tours there, Šljeme or Bandijerna. In the afternoon transfer back to our accommodation in Kolašin.
Transfer take 1,45 – 2h
Day 7
Shorter tour today in the vicinity of Kolašin and afterwards transfer down to the south through Moraca canyon with a stop at Moraca monastery and Skadarsko lake. Then visit Cetinje the old royal capital of Montenegro along the old panoramic road towards Kotor.
Accommodation in a 3 star hotel in the old town. (Optional instead of going to Kotor it is possible to overnight on Skadar
lake in private apartments). Transfer from Kolašin to Kotor usually depends much on the stops on the way
down. There are plenty nice places to see and visit and usually it is like halfday transfer. Without stoping
would be around 3-4 h.
Farewell fish dinner at restaurant.
Day 8
After breakfast, you will take a guided tour through old town of Kotor to introduce you more to our long and rich history, culture and tradition of Kotor. Official end of the trip and departure. Transfer from Kotor
to Podgorica airport around 2h.

Safety tips / Health
This is a ski touring/ freeride package, you need to be able to ski powder and unprepared snow comfortably.
A good physical health is needed.
Please mention any health conditions, any allergies or serious medication you may be taking when you book with us.
Avalanche Risks and safety
Avalanche danger in mountains is always present.
WSA has years of experience at recognizing areas and snow conditions that are a high avalanche hazard to avoid them.
We will make sure on the first day that everyone has the adequate gear and knows how to use it. We will provide you with a tutorial on this topic.
Thought you must accept all the risks that come with skiing remote and uncontrolled areas.
The correct mountain attitude is of essence.
Gear
Ski/Snowboard touring Gear
We advise you to use suitable gear :
- Skis : wide powder skis minimum 100mm width, mounted with touring bindings, adjustable poles, skins and ski crampons.
- Snowboard : split board with compatible bindings, telescopic poles, skins and adapted crampons or a normal board with snow shoes.
